Are you a young, aspiring professional interested in the world of intellectual property and looking for your first employment experience?
We are looking for young professionals to join the EPO’s Pan-European Seal Young Professionals Programme in September 2025. Young professionals will work at one of the EPO's sites in Munich, The Hague, Vienna, Berlin or Brussels.
The programme aims to spot talent early in Europe's brightest and highest-achieving graduates.
In the legal area there are several departments offering various professional development opportunities and unique experience. Below you will find a summary of what is in for you.
Depending on the department, your role may involve supporting compliance with data protection regulations and advising on privacy issues related to projects, contracts, and cooperation agreements. You could also assist with legislative drafting, providing legal advice, and resolving disputes. Additionally, you may contribute to the development of strategic and policy solutions within both the European and international patent systems or support the harmonization of patent laws through various agreements. Other potential opportunities include offering legal counsel on internal regulations and institutional reforms, assisting with contract drafting and litigation for EPO’s strategic projects, and contributing to the development and delivery of training programs, especially in areas such as patent granting and litigation.
