Join Principal Directorate (PD) Communication at the EPO

 

PD Communication is at the forefront of corporate communication for the EPO, driving strategic events that shape and protect our corporate culture, reputation and brand. Our work is instrumental in achieving the EPO's strategic goals, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders through multiple channels.

 

Led by a principal director, PD Communication consists of two directorates, Content Creation and Channel Management, which work alongside the visual communication team. We are currently seeking a talented video editor to join our visual communication team and who will report directly to the team leader.

 

With us you will:

 

  • contribute to the EPO's brand identity by providing expert video editing
  • edit event recordings
  • ensure the consistent application of corporate design standards across all videos and recordings
  • create animations and motion designs (e.g. animated typography, graphs and visuals)
  • develop 3D animation products
  • archive and store all video material accurately
  • perform any other relevant duties related to video production and event support

 

Apply if you have:

 

  • a minimum of five years of professional experience in post production or a filming agency (please provide references, i.e. portfolio)
  • proven experience in corporate filmmaking (please provide references, i.e. portfolio)
  • expert editing skills with Adobe Premiere
  • advanced animation skills with Adobe After Effects
  • proficiency in 3D animation and motion design (Blender or Cinema 4D)
  • in-depth knowledge of video material and media asset management
  • a solid understanding of branding and corporate style
  • experience in systematically clustering and storing video material
  • photographic and retouching skills
  • very good English language skills
  • basic camera skills are a plus

Our minimum requirements for this post

  • Diploma of completed studies at bachelor's level or – in exceptional cases – equivalent professional experience
  • Working knowledge of two official languages. Alternatively, working knowledge of one official language (in such cases, the willingness to learn the missing language and to reach level B2 within a set time frame would be required)
  • Citizenship of one of the member states of the European Patent Organisation

The successful candidate will be selected on the basis of qualifications, competencies, professional experience and language knowledge, supplemented as appropriate by interviews, tests and/or a personality questionnaire.

 

A reserve list may be constituted, should more candidates than required at this time be considered suitable following the selection procedure. Such reserve lists are valid for 18 months and reserve list candidates may be contacted, should a vacancy with substantially the same profile arise during that period.
