Main duties

Taking part in the board's review of decisions by the EPO departments of first instance
Acting as rapporteur in technical cases, i.e. preparing cases and oral proceedings in line with the organisational requirements of the board, and drafting communications and decisions
Acting as second member or chair when required
Contributing to the overall improvement of the functioning of the Boards of Appeal (working methods, harmonisation, organisation, etc.)
