It supports the organisation across a range of critical issues related to corporate governance, risk management and performance optimisation, inlcuding corporate reporting, dashboard management of the EPO strategic plan (SP2028), corporate risk management, integrated management system oversight and internal ISO audits. The directorate works in close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure strategic alignment.

We are now looking for a talented and motivated business performance analyst to join our team. Our business performance analysts evaluate business operations and performance from a corporate perspective, analysing problems, data and metrics to support strategic decision-making. To succeed in this role, the ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of the EPO's business operations and strategic direction is required.

With us you will

  • collaborate with business areas to define, maintain and review key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • conduct analyses to support internal decision-making
  • translate information requirements into effective reporting for senior management
  • support the implementation of the EPO's strategic direction in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, making use of best practices for data visualisation and reporting, identifying opportunities for improving current settings and to apply innovative approaches
  • set up activities for structured collection of internal feedback, creating detailed project plans, engaging with all stakeholders involved at different levels, monitoring progress and reporting accordingly
  • organise awareness campaigns and deliver training sessions

Apply if you have

  • relevant experience in a project management function, with responsibility for multiple projects linked to business governance or experience in a similar environment
  • knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools
  • performance analysis experience, including KPI development and monitoring
  • advanced knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power-BI) or programming languages such as Python
  • good analytical and communication skills
  • experience of working closely with senior management
  • ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and a diverse group of stakeholders
  • a proactive, "can-do" attitude
  • commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Our minimum requirements for this post

  • Diploma of completed studies at master's level or – in exceptional cases – equivalent professional experience
  • Generally, an excellent knowledge (at least C1) of one official language (English, French and German) and ability to understand the other two; alternatively, excellent knowledge (at least C1) of at least one official language (in such cases, the willingness to learn the missing language(s) and to reach level B2 within a set time frame would be required)
  • Citizenship of one of the member states of the European Patent Organisation
