  • Applied Maths, AI, and Quantum Computing: AI and Advanced Computing Technologies, Applied Math & NLP, Core AI & Quantum Computing
  • Batteries, Fuel Cells & Electrolyser / Hydrogen Technology: Electrochemistry, Lithium-Ion Battery & Fuel Cell Materials, Production Technology (Processes & Equipment) for Batteries, Fuel Cells and Electrolysers, System Integration of Batteries and Battery Management, H2 and ammonia production
  • Chemical Engineering - Lubricants/Fuels: commodity chemicals and technical interactions, fuel economy, viscosity, antioxidants, deposit control, briquettes, electrical properties, GTL fuels, compositions and processes
  • Computer: Distributed Processing & CPU, Error detection and correction, advanced applied data processing, ICT security or cryptography, network security, image processing, AR/AV, HCI, GUI, Computer Devices, AI applications
  • Electric Power Distribution: Power generation and grid integration (e.g., renewables like photovoltaics, wind turbines, hydropower); AC or DC transmission and distribution (including HVDC systems, off-grid microgrids, on-board power networks); electric power conversion; energy storage and management (batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen); inductive charging and wireless power transfer; battery charging technologies (e.g., for EVs, fast charging protocols); emergency/stand-by power.
  • Electronics: Amplifiers (e.g. differential amplifiers, LNAs, RF power amplifiers such as Doherty power amplifiers, audio power amplifiers such as class D amplifiers, class A to S amplifiers, switched capacitor amplifiers, push-pull amplifiers, charge amplifiers, TIAs), Phased locked loops and their components (e.g. Charge pumps, Phase detectors, Voltage Controlled Oscillators, Digitally Controlled Oscillators)
  • Image, Audio & Video: Microphones, Loudspeakers, headphones, processing of signals; digital video coding and compression (MPEG, HEVC, VVC, point cloud), & video transmission (DVB, ISOBMFF, HbbTV)
  • Life Science: Formulation specialists (pharmacists; organic chemists) of known chemical compounds (organic small molecules, inorganic compounds, polymers or nucleic acids).
  • Materials Science: Polymers (processing/working-up in general or polyurethanes), polymer chemistry and polymer having optical features (optical element & optical data storage), natural polymers (paper & pulp, paper & ink, biomaterials, biorefinery, natural polymers, paper converting and packaging technology); textile engineering (production of fibres, chemical treatment of textiles)
  • Mechanical & Automotive Engineering: Combustion, heat exchange & storage, steam production and water turbines; Mechanical and control aspects relating to air conditioning units and systems for cooling, heating, ventilation, humidification, dehumidification, filtration of air for habitable space, i.e. buildings; Hand tools, including motor powered rotary tools, screw, staple and nailing tools, workshop equipment; Foundations & water management; Building elements, such as finishing & closure elements; Automotive engineering: Vehicle structures, steering mechanisms, controlling and manufacturing methods
  • Organic Chemistry: Cosmetics, Dyes, Sugars, Heterocycles, Organometallics, Steroids, Carbocycles & Processes
  • Physics - Sensing & Testing Technology: Sensing forces and temperature, testing machines and structures
  • Semiconductors: Laser technology: Physicist with broad knowledge in laser technology, in particular with R&D experience.  Semiconductor memory devices: Memory devices, their manufacturing and process integration, in particular of DRAM, SRAM and Flash memory (Physicist, Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with a Background in semiconductor technology); Nuclear chemical processes (fuel reprocessing, radioactive waste disposal)
  • Steel Metallurgy: Heat treatments of ferrous metals or alloys 
  • Telecom & Wireless: Mobile Radio Communication- MIMO - 4G - 5G - 6G - beamforming - physical layer, Wireless communication (Wireless resource allocation); Power saving in wireless communication systems, 3GPP, LTE, WLAN, Baseband and radio frequency rx/tx design, physical layer, Data networks (Network Management & Monitoring; Routing, Switching & Flow control; Access, Bus, Home & Virtual networks)
